The article examines the victimological aspects of crimes involving incitement to suicide. During the study, 251 court decisions in criminal cases on incitement to suicide, inducement to commit suicide or assistance in it, organization of activities aimed at inducing suicide from 62 constituent entities of the Russian Federation for the years 1998-2023 were studied. Most often, victims of such crimes are found in the family, domestic and professional spheres, when crimes are committed using IT technologies. During the study, attention was paid to biophysiological (gender, age, health status, pathological desires, behavioral deviations), socio-demographic (education, marital status, presence of children, professional affiliation) and moral and psychological characteristics (views, beliefs, value orientations, volitional and intellectual personality traits, life attitudes) characterizing the victim. Victimologically significant features of the behavior of the victim of such crimes (place, season of the year, time of suicide, methods, means and methods of its implementation, the presence of suicide notes) are noted. Individual illegal actions that are in a cause-and-effect relationship with the suicidal behavior of the victim are analyzed. Signs indicating the presence of intentions and attempts to commit suicide have been identified. Particular attention is paid to the patterns of victim behavior and the identification of determining factors. The signs of victimization of crime victims are considered.
